Join Bill Dragoo and Dragoo Adventure Rider Training (D.A.R.T.) at beautiful Byrd’s Adventure Center on the Mulberry River in the Ozarks! By popular request, we are presenting an immersive training experience in this special location. The mountains, forests and streams of Arkansas are magical in May, and you may wish to extend your trip and enjoy your newly acquired skills riding in the Ozarks.

This event will include a refresher for Level 1-2 graduates with the addition of our Level 3 Rocks course. Your experience will take you from timid to tested and proven in the magnificent Ozarks. Skills and techniques taught in this course will help prepare you for backcountry challenges from graded gravel to rocky ledges and more. 

You’ll arrive at Byrd’s Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2021 where we’ll do orientation and enjoy a group dinner. The next day we’ll start two days of training (Monday, May 17 and Tuesday, May 18). We’ll put those riding skills to work on Wednesday, May 19 on some scenic and moderately challenging trails. Departure day is Thursday, May 20.

Private Bedroom/Bath Option (Limit 8)

$1,649 includes two days of training, one day group ride, four nights lodging with private bedroom and bath, four dinners, three lunches, four breakfasts. There are only eight of these private bed/bath combinations at Byrd’s, so secure yours now!

Camping Option

$1,399 includes two days of training, one day group ride, four nights camping, four dinners, three lunches, and four breakfasts.

Guest Supplement

If you plan to bring a guest, you can purchase a meal package for $175 which includes four dinners, three lunches, and four breakfasts.

Accommodations at Byrd’s will be in either the Trailhead Lodge, Aviator Cabin or Bush Pilot Cabin. See below for detailed descriptions. You will have a private bedroom and bath and share a full kitchen and living area with other riders.

CANCELLATION: Cancellations require notification not less than 20 days prior to the event to be eligible for refund. At that point, you would be eligible for a full refund minus a $100 processing fee or the full amount could be applied towards any future DART event up to one year from the start date.

RAIN POLICY: Encountering rain is an expected part of adventure riding and we train accordingly. Class will not be cancelled or rescheduled because rain is in the forecast. In the case of severe weather, however, it is possible that a class would need to be postponed, although thus far this has never occurred. In the event of a rare cancellation necessitated by severe weather, it is our policy not to issue refunds. In that case, you would receive a credit for your tuition to attend any available future class.
